About Repowise
Repowise is listed in our coding category and is aimed at builders. Codebase intelligence tool that indexes code, call graph, git history and docs locally and answers questions for you and your coding agent over MCP. Pricing, as the maker states it: Open source. Maturity: Mature. We last checked the official link on 2026-10-20.
What is Repowise?
Repowise indexes your codebase once on your machine (code, call graph, git history, tests, docs and design decisions) so you and your coding agent can ask it what calls what, what breaks if something changes, what code is dead, what to fix first and why it was built that way.
Graph, risk, health, test and dead-code analysis run without LLM calls, so the same diff gives the same answer, and agents reach it through REST and MCP with scoped tokens. It also produces code health scores and docs, and can enforce change policy in CI via SARIF. It is free for one developer; a commercial licence and hosted option cover company use.
